Cisco WebEx Superior Video Conferencing

Enable Video-first Meeting Experience Today with Cisco WebEx and Unifi Communications

Joining a remote meeting has never been easier

What does video-first mean? At Unifi Communications, we define it as making it even easier for people to connect and collaborate  in richer ways — no matter where they are in the world. We use video for most of our meetings because we need to connect with our teams, customers, and partners whether we are at the office, at home, or on the road.

Video conferencing is the next best thing to face-to-face meetings and we are excited to share some of the enhanced features Cisco have recently delivered and we are able to provide you. They are designed to make video conferencing  that much closer to interacting and collaborating in the same room.

It all Starts from a Simpler Experience

First, the award-winning Cisco video room endpoints and desktop devices are now integrated with Cisco WebEx using Cisco Hybrid Calendar Service for an easy-to-join experience: Just click the big green join button on any Cisco cloud-registered video device (not just premises-registered) and you are in.

You also have more control over who you see in the meeting: The new grid layout gives you the option to see up to six equally sized live video streams at once. Or you can “lock and pin” the video so that you can focus on one person.

You also have the option to start every meeting with full-screen video so you can engage with remote attendees just as effectively as if they were in the room with you. And there’s just something about seeing the faces of your colleagues and being able to connect, before the meeting starts and as the content sharing begins.

Improved Mobile Meetings

Video grid views are now also available on mobile devices, so you can more easily see meeting attendees and you can control your mobile camera from WebEx too, which is a great if you need to show participants your surroundings while continuing to view them and their reactions.

Many of the features you’ve enjoyed on your desktop, like screen sharing and access to meeting tools, are now part of your mobile experience too.

Solid Cloud Network

Amazing video experiences rely on a solid global cloud infrastructure and network backbone that gives you the same amazing video experience wherever you might be.

Whether collaborating inside or outside of the office, around the globe, or across campus, people rely on video-based meetings more than ever before. With nearly 15 years’ experience providing collaboration technology to small and medium sized businesses, Unifi Communications recognise video as the way forward to making it easy and natural for people to collaborate and improve the way businesses work.

We are committed to making sure our customers get the best video experience on the market, and we’re just getting started.

Stay tuned for more additions to WebEx in the coming weeks and months. Meanwhile, check-out some of the video-meeting features available today:

VOSS Provides UC Management to Italtel’s Collaboration at Work Solution

Monday February 23, 2015 – Richardson, TX – VOSS Solutions today unveiled that the VOSS-4-UC management platform has been selected to perform a fundamental role in Italtel’s Collaboration at Work solution. The VOSS-4-UC management platform is one of the key elements of Italtel’s solution, providing advanced provisioning and operations management from a single pane of glass.

Collaboration at Work is a UC&C integrated architecture that allows organizations to achieve a unified and ergonomic user experience providing the best interoperability between multi-vendor communication technologies, by means of Italtel Session Border Control, NetMatch-S. The first release allows Cisco and Microsoft devices to coexist seamlessly, with Presence status and other UC settings automatically transferring across the different UC environments. Adopting Collaboration at Work, enterprises can benefit of faster business processes, increased individual and group productivity, enhanced employees’ mobility, and optimized use of video communications and multi-media conferences, together with significant savings in telecommunications expenses towards the operators (thanks to SIP trunking).

Italtel is the first partner in the world to harness the power of the VOSS-4-UC management platform to enable the cohabitation of Microsoft and Cisco telephony equipment in a single environment. Without VOSS, configuration would have to be carried out on the Cisco environment, the Microsoft environment and the Italtel Netmatch-S, for each and every user. With VOSS, this administrative complexity is absorbed and reduced to a few key strokes in the VOSS central management interface.

Stefan Peters, Sales Director at VOSS, commented: “Increasingly, companies are selecting multi-vendor UC environments to benefit from best-of-breed technologies and preserve legacy investments while moving away from vendor lock-in. We are delighted to be supporting Italtel, who is a frontrunner in Microsoft / Cisco cohabitation.”

Camillo Ascione, head of Italtel System Integration Strategy & Marketing added: “The VOSS-4-UC management platform abstracts a huge amount of complexity from the underlying administration; it simplifies and centralizes the day-to-day operations of the Collaboration at Work solution, making MACDs quick, easy and error-free”.

VOSS will be co-exhibiting with Italtel at Mobile World Congress, 2-5 March 2015, Barcelona, on Booth 2J2 (Pavilion 2). To meet with VOSS at the event, please email

VOSS Extends UC Migration Solution to Support Full Lifecycle of a Migration Project

VOSS Extends UC Migration Solution to Support Full Lifecycle of a Migration Project

Comprehensive Solution Now Includes Multi-Vendor Discovery Functionality

RICHARDSON, Texas (Monday, September 8, 2014) – VOSS Solutions today announced that the company has extended the scope of its UC Migration Solution to support the complex and multi-faceted requirements of communications migration projects.

VOSS has taken the sophisticated ETL (extract, transform, and load) technology from the “big data” industry and successfully enhanced it to suit the unique demands of a UC migration process. The methodology used at VOSS is a DETVL (discover, extract, transform, validate, and load) approach that automatically and rapidly processes massive amounts of complex data, with very high rates of accuracy, through the following core phases:

  1. Discover & Design
User and device data is mined and analyzed from a wide cross-section of multiple legacy system vendors and heterogeneous systems. A data audit is produced to enable the optimization of the data extraction and design of the transformation processes.
  2. Extract
Deep data extraction of user, device and advanced IPT settings. Automated cleaning and normalization of the data; all from multiple data sources and data types.
  3. Transform
Intelligent data transformation and enrichment of the collected data, using advanced business logic to configure rich UC services on a fully customized basis.
  4. Validate
Web-based access to the data to authenticate it in real-time ahead of loading. Data validation can be performed by end-customer site champions, through secure access control.
  5. Load
Automated, batch-based loading to the new UC network elements, ready for site cutover. Re sync of originally extracted data can be performed prior to cutover to eliminate data-currency issues.

At the heart of the VOSS UC Migration Solution is the MiGR8-2-UC product (rebranded from the VOSS On-boarding Toolset, OBT); a highly sophisticated product that harnesses a DETVL methodology, to discover, extract, transform, validate, and load large volumes of data, to automate a UC migration project, saving organizations both time and budget.

Rob Moore, VP Global Services at VOSS, commented; “We’re excited about this evolution to our migration capabilities, as it solves a problem that all of our customers face at some stage in the lifecycle of their UC environment”. He continued; “MiGR8-2-UC supports multiple migration scenarios, such as TDM PBX to IP-PBX, TDM PBX to UC, IP-PBX to UC, or UC to UC. And, it also supports the widest range of legacy vendor technologies, covering: Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Alcatel, Siemens, Ericsson, NEC, Mitel, Lync, etc.”

A number of high profiles organizations have already used the VOSS UC Migration Solution, with impressive results. These companies include a leading bank in Australia, a large industrial corporation in the USA, UK-based and US-based financial institutions, and many of the world’s leading telcos who are adopting VOSS’ big data approach for mass migrations to the cloud.

Cyber Security EXPO calls for hacks

Cyber Security EXPO, part of IP EXPO Europe, is calling for contributors to the Cyber Hack, a live open source security lab arriving at the show this October.

The Hack area allows for true industry collaboration, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate hacks in real time and explain to audiences how to beat them. We’ll also have some of the best defence and security minds present for you to challenge.

Cyber security is arguably the biggest issue facing today’s IT industry – every week we hear about a new threat or compromise and the aftermath of damaging cyber-attacks that have left organisations – and often their customers too – vulnerable and exposed. For this reason, Cyber Security EXPO has developed a place for White Hat hackers, security gurus and industry professionals to come together to share ideas and showcase hacks in real time.

Whether it’s a hack demonstration, a new vulnerability, research findings or just something you want to get off your chest, fill out the Call for Hacks submission form here before 31st July and join this exciting new show experience.
